Selecting the Transaction Mode

• Closing all open documents, both data tables and control files. If available select the "Window" menu tab, then the "Close All" tab.
• Once all the windows are closed, select the "File" menu tab, then the "Transaction Mode" tab and check the desired mode for the next database transaction.
  note: Exclusive transactions will allow the editor to edit the database with table schemas.
  note: Shared transactions will lock all visible objects and only allow the editor to edit table data.
  note: Lock Free transaction mode will not allow any editing of any data within the database.
