Editing Table Schema

  • Once a table has been opened and is active select the 'Edit Table Schema' dialog box by clicking the table Schema icon () or selection 'Table Schema' from the 'View' menu or type 'Ctrl+T' on the key board.
  • Once the 'Edit Table Schema' dialog box has appeared, select the desired field by high-light the field by double clicking it or press the right mouse button to obtain a pop-up menu select the desired action or type 'Enter' on the keyboard.
  • Once the 'Field Definition' dialog box has appeared, type in the new name of the field, or select its new type and/or change its length if necessary.
    note: You can use the arrow up and arrow down key to change the current selection.
    note: You can change the position of a field within the table schema by the 'Page Up' and 'Page Down' keys.
    note: You can delete a field by pressing 'Delete' on the keyboard.
  • Repeat the previous steps until all fields are defined and select 'Save'.
